Keloids and scar revisions or ear reductions
This patient had a symptomatic keloid of the ear. The keloid was removed and nonabsorbable sutures were
placed to minimize tissue inflammation, and triamcinolone steroid was placed at the time of removal to
minimize risk of recurrence. This procedure was performed under wide awake local anesthesia only.
Case 2:
This patient had a symptomatic keloid of the ear. The keloid was removed and nonabsorbable sutures were
placed to minimize tissue inflammation, and triamcinolone steroid was also placed at the time of removal to
minimize risk of recurrence.
Case 3:
This patient had a symptomatic keloid of the ear. The keloid was removed under local anesthetic only,
and the ear tissue was rearranged to reconstruct the helix of the ear, while triamcinolone steroid
was placed at the time of removal to minimize any risk of recurrence.
Case 3:
This patient was bothered by a large earlobe. Earlobe reduction surgery was performed under local anesthetic
only in order to improve earlobe contour.
