Will Botox, Jeuveau or Dysport help me in Orange County?
These medications are all neuromodulators, and Dr. Ng can discuss which one is right for you at your
visit. Botox, Jeuveau or Dysport are injected into muscles of the face. At appropriate doses, these
neuromodulators can temporarily weaken the muscles that give rise to permanent lines and wrinkles in the
face, while still allowing you to appear natural and to animate your face. Crow's feet are lines that
appear at the sides of our eyes with repeated smiling. Glabellar lines are the wrinkles that appear
between your eyebrows. Forehead rhytids are lines that appear on the forehead when you raise your eyebrows.
These are all common areas that are routinely addressed with careful placement of neuromodulators such
as Botox, Jeuveau and Dysport. It is almost never too early to start, as this can also be considered
a preventative treatment to reduce the risk of permanent wrinkles at rest as you age.
Is Restylane right for me?
Restylane is one of many commercially available hyaluronic fillers. It is placed to reduce the appearance
of deep lines or furrows in the face. Common areas that fillers may be placed include the cheeks to
give the appearance of more defined cheekbones, the upper and lower lips to give more fullness which is
often associated with youth, and under the eyes or in the tear troughs to help with dark circles and
indentations. At your appointment with Dr. Ng, she will discuss which fillers may be right for you.
Are lip fillers a good idea?
Lip fillers give more volume to the lips, and can be placed in the upper and/or lower lips. Lip fillers
can also be used to correct natural asymmetries in the lips that may be aesthetically bothersome. This
is an in office procedure with little to no downtime. Dr. Ng uses various techniques to help you achieve
the look that you desire.
