Case 1: The patient underwent excision of a large sarcoma of the back. A flap of muscle and skin (latissimus dorsi) is moved to cover the defect.

Case 2: The patient underwent excision of a biopsy proven skin cancer of the back, and the wound was primarily closed with absorbable sutures.

Case 3: The patient was bothered by a lipoma (benign growth of fat in a localized area) of the back, and this was removed through a small incision.
